Is it over for pastel fashion?

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to have a little brainstorming session about a thing that has been on my mind lately. Simply put: Is pastel fashion disappearing? Or I don't know if I should call it "pastel fashion" more like "that cutesy ruffly adorable clothing style". Oh whatever I'll just show you some pictures.

A fashion style like this you know?

I've always loved this innocent look which was extremely popular at some point, but now I've witnessed this trend fading away slightly. There are probably many factors, for example that this "pastel generation" has grown up a bit and it would be weird to walk into your office looking like this and being considered "unprofessional". 

One of the biggest reasons though, is the fact that South-Korea is becoming more and more connected to other countries and there has been a slight change in the perspectives of the younger generation. Now South-Korean fashion combines elements from different fashion trends around the world, which usually leads to new clothing styles being a bit more sexy than people in South-Korea were used to. 

Think about the "baddie" fashion trend. Most of the time this trend is extremely sexy and it contains tight tops and bottoms, fishnet stockings and chokers. Don't you think this trend has had an effect on the newest trends in South Korea as well? 

Let's look into kpop shall we:

See? This is obviously a thing that's happening, but to what extent this trend will go is still a mystery. In South-Korea trends tend to change extremely quickly so I'm a bit doubtful that this would be an exception.

One thing we need to remember about pastel fashion is that it has always been worn by those people who love to express their own style and don't really care what others think. We see new fashion trends coming from kpop and kdramas, but that's not how normal people look everyday. That's why there's always room for individual styles and you can look just as cute and adorable or badass as you'd like.

So what's my opinion? No, pastel fashion is not disappearing. We are just going through so many fashion trend in so little time and people can find things that they like and stick to those only. Above fashion trends is each and everyone's own unique style.
